Firehouse Mustache Wax Wacky Tacky ('Tacky' for short) is the darkest of our waxes and a customer favorite. Due to the natural variances in the waxes used, it can sometimes be darker or lighter per batch. It provides superior hold in all weather conditions with easy application. The main difference between the Tacky and Dark wax is the Tacky is darker in color and tackier in texture. Handmade in small batches in the USA.
To apply: push (not scrape) wax up on the fingernail of your index finger, and then wipe it onto your thumb of the same hand. (Push like a bulldozer pushes up dirt.) Some customers prefer using different objects to push up the wax before putting on fingers. Find what works best for you. Rub the wax back and forth 2-3 times between your index finger and thumb. Then apply using your index finger. Or you can use both index finger and thumb if you’re trying to handlebar or want more control of where the wax is applied.
Make sure wax is at room temperature before applying. You may want to put it in your pocket, over a warm vent, on top of the coffee pot, run under hot water, or even use a blow dryer to make the wax even easier to apply.
Bought this based on reviews. It Sucks. Maybe I got a bad batch. Hate to bash it but it is as hard as a candle. You are not going to put this between your thumb and finger and warm it up to use.Scooped it out with a spoon into a shot glass and micro-nuked it to use.Waste of $19 bucks.I will keep on searching.
The hold is right. The smell is not.
As a mechanic I'm quite active throughout the day, and constantly bending and contorting to interesting shapes and spaces. Through all of this, I may need to reapply the wax once day. The hold is phenomenal. The scent is pleasant and not overbearing, and as per any other high hold wax it's easier to apply after it's been in your pocket. I would 100% recommend this product to a friend
What ever wax use . Use a little bit of wacky tacky to hold the ends in
place . It's a great fiinish for your stash .
So you really need two waxes , a light wax and wacky tacky
Can't get any better than this
